All the flowers are made in Thailand from Handmade Mulberry Paper. This is produced by taking bark off one year old Asian Mulberry Trees, cooking it to soften the fibres, then shredding it to make a pulp. This is spread over frames which are placed in the sun to dry. The petals are die cut from the acid and lignin free sheets, individually hand dyed with non-toxic dyes then moulded and embossed before being heat pressed. The flowers are then completed by layering petal, adding stamens, calyx and wires to produce a wide range of beautifully finished flowers. As each flower is individually hand made, no two flowers are exactly the same and there may be slight colour variations within the same pack.
